According to the US Department of Agriculture, the preliminary estimated value for the Idaho® Potato crop is $1.2 billion, a 22.7% leap from the previous year. Harvested acreage was down 5% and yields were down 1.2%.
First Female Grower is Appointed
EAGLE, ID, September 18, 2017 – At the 2017 Idaho Grower Shippers Association meeting in Sun Valley, Idaho, the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) announced the appointment of Mary Hasenoehrl of Gross Farms, the first female to represent potato growers. Randy Hardy of Hardy Farms and Nick Blanksma of Legacy Farms were also sworn in to serve second three-year terms.

Eagle ID (December 2015)—On December 1, 2015, Stanley Trout joins the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) foodservice marketing team as Promotions Director for the Southeast, based in Nashville, TN. Working closely with Don Odiorne, Vice President-Foodservice and the other regional foodservice promotion directors, Trout will lead the marketing outreach to distributors and produce specialists in his territory, as well as conduct Idaho® potato product seminars and educational sessions, and represent the brand and industry at foodservice trade shows.
