Jef Pryor has joined the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) foodservice marketing team as Promotions Director for the Southeast. Working closely with Don Odiorne, Vice President-Foodservice and the other regional foodservice promotion directors, Pryor will lead the marketing outreach to distributors and produce specialists in his territory, as well as conduct Idaho® potato product seminars and educational sessions, and represent the brand and industry at foodservice trade shows.
Batman and the Avengers may rule the summer popcorn movie scene, but the Idaho Potato Commission’s (IPC) Fearless Field Force superheros reigned once again in the annual Produce Business Marketing Excellence Awards.
The Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) is pleased to announce that Travis Blacker has accepted the position of Industry Relations Director. Blacker will work out of the IPC’s Eastern Idaho office and will focus on building and developing relationships between the IPC and all industry members: growers, shippers and processors.
The U.S. Senators from Idaho, James E. Risch and Mike Crapo, today joined the President and CEO of the IPC, Frank Muir, to welcome the Great Big Idaho® Potato Truck when it rolled into Washington, D.C. for a special appearance in front of the the U.S. Capitol Building. In celebration of the mid-point of the truck’s seven-month cross country tour, to mark the IPC’s milestone 75th Anniversary, Senators Risch and Crapo joined Muir to present a $100,000 check from the IPC to Enid A. Borden, the President and CEO of Meals On Wheels Association of America.
All eyes were peeled on the Idaho Potato Commission’s (IPC) Great Big Idaho® Potato Truck when it blew into the Windy City for the annual National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show.
The Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) continues to expand its global reach, with a new international office serving Latin America launched in March 2012 and plans for a South Korea office to open this fall. The new offices join the IPC’s existing roster of international offices for Mexico, Asia, and Southeast Asia, which have helped propel the premium Idaho® potato brand around the world.
The Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) celebrated its 75th diamond anniversary this spring by giving away a brilliant one-carat diamond pendant (ARV: $3,500), the stone traditionally associated with 75th anniversaries. A two-month long sweepstakes was held on the IPC’s Facebook page, Facebook.com/famousidahopotatoes, and Paula Plunk, a substitute teacher from Bethel Springs, Tennessee, is the lucky winner.
After months of much anticipation and fanfare, the Great Big Idaho® Potato Truck officially set off on its seven-month cross-country journey following a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Idaho Governor C. L. “Butch” Otter in front of the Idaho Capitol Building.
