One of the Idaho Potato Commission's (IPC) MVPs, Heather Cox, is back with a new lineup of weekly videos and contests that are scoring big points with college football and Idaho® potato fans across the country. The popular college football sideline reporter and Boise resident was recruited by the IPC last year to help promote Idaho® potatoes during the fall season, one of the heaviest buying periods for the brand.
The Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) announced the recent appointment of two new Commissioners who will each serve three-year terms. Randy Hardy, from Hardy Farms in Oakley, and Nick Blanksma, a grower residing in Hammett, will be formally sworn in at the IPC’s October meeting. Mike Christensen of Melba, who has already served one term on the IPC, will also be sworn in for another term. The Commissioners were nominated by industry peers and selected by Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter.
And the survey says...we live in a tater nation! In a new survey by the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC), 97% of Americans said they eat potatoes and more than 81% enjoy them as a side dish, snack or main course on average of three days per week.

Zooming in on the well-known “Grown in Idaho” logo for an eye-catching retail trade campaign, the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) took home top honors for the sixth straight year in the 2013 Produce Business Marketing Excellence Awards. “What’s Wrong With This Picture?” applied the iconic “Grown in Idaho” logo to a variety of exotic fruits and vegetables, visually reinforcing the powerful link between the name Idaho and the state’s flagship product.
As the $186 million-plus fresh potato export market continues to grow an average of 9 percent annually, the Idaho Potato Commission has stepped up its global marketing efforts with the addition of Traci Hiebert as the new IPC international marketing director.
