This year marks the first time since 2007 that the Famous Idaho® Potato Bowl was played after Christmas, and it was the first time Nevada (Mountain West Conference) played Ohio (Mid-American Conference). Eagle, Idaho, December 27, 2018 – Freshman BYU quarterback Zach Wilson threw a perfect game against the Western Michigan Broncos on the blue turf at Albertsons Stadium during the 22nd annual Famous Idaho® Potato Bowl (FIPB). Wilson completed all 18 passes totaling 317 yards and threw four touchdowns setting a new single-game BYU record for completions. The BYU Cougars defeated the Western Michigan Broncos from the Mid-American Conference 49-18 in the country’s premier cold-weather college bowl game with close to 20,000 folks in the stands and two million fans around the country watching it live on ESPN.

EAGLE, ID (January 13, 2017) -- In the highest scoring bowl game of the season and the third highest scoring game in bowl history, the University of Idaho Vandals defeated the Colorado State Rams (61-50) at the 20th Annual Famous Idaho® Potato Bowl. Close to 25,000 die-hard fans braved the cold weather to cheer on the teams, while 1.1 million viewers (an increase of 6% over 2015) watched the game indoors on ESPN.

Boise, Idaho (December 29, 2015) - The Utah State University Aggies (Mountain West Conference) were the predicted victors of the Famous Idaho® Potato Bowl, but the Akron Zips (Mid-American Conference) played strong and hard to win their first bowl game ever on the blue turf of Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho. The cold-weather game aired live on ESPN and ESPN Radio on Tuesday, December 22nd with millions of fans tuning in from across the country.
The Air Force Academy (Mountain West Conference) went head-to-head with Western Michigan University (Mid-American Conference) on Saturday, December 20th in the Famous Idaho® Potato Bowl on the blue turf in Albertson’s Stadium in Boise, Idaho. The game aired live on ESPN and ESPN Radio during prime viewing time and was seen by millions of fans.
