USDA Calculates Idaho Potato Crop Value Grew 22.7% to $1.2B

Eagle ID (March 2018)— Idaho, the United State’s top producing potato state since 1957, reached a new crop high in 2017. According to the US Department of Agriculture, the preliminary estimated value for the Idaho® Potato crop is $1.2 billion, a 22.7% leap from the previous year. Harvested acreage was down 5% and yields were down 1.2%.

The International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach—part of South Carolina’s Horry Georgetown Technical College—hosted the award ceremony on June 22, 2017.

Spiralizing turns our top quality potatoes into all natural, single-ingredient noodles that are heart-healthy, gluten-free and vegan/vegetarian-friendly, making them an ideal ingredient for signature appetizers, salads and entrees.

EAGLE, ID (January 18, 2017) -- Following an online “Fully-Loaded Idaho® Potato Cook-off” event, Kenmore® awarded Crystal Schlueter’s unique and easy-to-make Mashed-Up Kimchi Reuben Tater Bombs with Sweet Onion & Gochujang Aioli the grand prize.
