May 8, 2006 - Idaho Potato lover, Linda Greene of Moon Township, Pennsylvania reached into her sack of America's best-loved potatoes and found a miracle potato! Formed in the shape of a perfect heart, this Idaho Potato was quite a find for this lover of all things "heart," particularly when she was informed that she found her romantic spud during Potato Lover's Month!
"The diamond in my wedding ring is even heart-shaped," she said. "I just love hearts! So you can imagine my surprise when I came across this amazing find."
While Idaho Potatoes are renowned for their consistent shape and great taste, on a rare occasion an unusually-shaped spud slips into the sack.

Established in 1937, the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) is a state agency that is responsible for promoting and protecting the famous "Grown in Idaho®" seal, a federally registered trademark that assures consumers they are purchasing genuine, top-quality Idaho® potatoes. Idaho's ideal growing conditions, including rich, volcanic soil, climate and irrigation differentiate Idaho® potatoes from potatoes grown in other states.
