As the $186 million-plus fresh potato export market continues to grow an average of 9 percent annually, the Idaho Potato Commission has stepped up its global marketing efforts with the addition of Traci Hiebert as the new IPC international marketing director.
The Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) continues to expand its global reach, with a new international office serving Latin America launched in March 2012 and plans for a South Korea office to open this fall. The new offices join the IPC’s existing roster of international offices for Mexico, Asia, and Southeast Asia, which have helped propel the premium Idaho® potato brand around the world.
From Houston to Hong Kong and Honduras, the world-famous Idaho® potato is now available to millions of consumers around the globe, thanks to the Idaho Potato Commission's (IPC) international department. Since its inception in 2003, Idaho® potato exports have expanded from Canada to more than 15 countries including Brazil, Mexico and Malaysia, helping to drive demand for the world famous spud.
Following six years of unprecedented growth of Idaho® potatoes into international markets, the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) has hired Amanda Albers as its first International Marketing Manager and in addition, has established new offices in Mexico, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Established in 1937, the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) is a state agency that is responsible for promoting and protecting the famous "Grown in Idaho®" seal, a federally registered trademark that assures consumers they are purchasing genuine, top-quality Idaho® potatoes. Idaho's ideal growing conditions, including rich, volcanic soil, climate and irrigation differentiate Idaho® potatoes from potatoes grown in other states.
