Eagle, ID, November 12, 2015 -- To help kick off the Idaho Potato Commission’s (IPC) national holiday promotion, popular food blogger, Average Betty demonstrates how to whip up creamy mashed Idahoâ potatoes in a slow cooker with Country Crock® buttery spread.
The IPC is partnering with Unilever’s Country Crock® buttery spread to help thousands of families in need this holiday season. The national promotion, “Buy, Get, Give,” offers shoppers the chance to receive free potatoes (up to $2.00) and the opportunity to provide families with fresh Idahoâ potatoes through a charitable tie-in with Feeding America, the leading domestic hunger-relief charity in the United States.
“This national promotion with Country Crock® is the biggest holiday promotion in the IPC’s history in terms of the quantity of potatoes that will be sold at retail and distributed through a national food bank, and the scope of advertising and public relations support it’s receiving,” explained Seth Pemsler, vice president, Retail/International. “And, Average Betty’s video, which is both entertaining and instructional, provides viewers with an easy way to make delicious mashed potatoes for any occasion.”
