Faith Gorsky is the writer, recipe developer and self-taught photographer and food stylist behind www.AnEdibleMosaic.com, and the cookbook author of An Edible Mosaic: Middle Eastern Fare with Extraordinary Flair (Tuttle Publishing; November 2012). She was born and raised in Upstate New York, lived in Florida for three years during law school, and she and her husband and have spent time living Syria, Jordan, and most recently Kuwait; they now live in the Washington DC area. Faith’s goal is to inspire people to get in the kitchen and try something new; she has found that one of the most effective ways to do that is by making a photo appeal to someone beyond just the food in the picture. If a photo can tell a story or strikes a personal or emotional chord inviting the viewer to pull up a chair and partake in the meal, they will be drawn in. Faith works to convey this sort of scene through her food photography.
On An Edible Mosaic, Faith shares her recipe collection of international favorites and updated American classics, with an emphasis on seasonal dishes. The focus is on real foods that sustain body and mind, bring people together, and make a house a home.
Established in 1937, the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) is a state agency that is responsible for promoting and protecting the famous "Grown in Idaho®" seal, a federally registered trademark that assures consumers they are purchasing genuine, top-quality Idaho® potatoes. Idaho's ideal growing conditions, including rich, volcanic soil, climate and irrigation differentiate Idaho® potatoes from potatoes grown in other states.
