Started in the spring of 2010, Country Cleaver was a place for Megan to test out newly baked creations from her kitchen and share them with the world. Early in life she mastered the chocolate chip cookie, and progressed into more homemade confections that ranged from sweet breads, to cakes, creme brules, and candy coated who knows whats. As time went on she all of the came to the conclusion that she needed to learn to cook everyday food, if for no other reason so that her boyfriend would stick around and not starve. Well, he is her husband now - so it looked like the time experimenting in the kitchen paid off!Megan prides herself on country comfort food with a twist. She sees home cooked dishes, created with care, the most fulfilling dishes and always bring people together. Comfort food can be quick, convenient, and nutritious. Megan has strong ties to the country and the farming communities of Eastern Washington, and takes great pride in representing the products of their labor in her cooking. With Idaho Potatoes' versatility, and variety, there is no shortage of dishes that she can create and they are always a hit around the family dinner table.
