Mimi Holtz is a native Vermonter who moved to California for graduate studies in music and business, married a California avocado farmer and raised a family of four children on their large avocado ranch in San Diego county. In 2011 she started her blog to share stories about life on the ranch, including recipes and food that her family enjoys and special discoveries along the way. Mimi loves to travel and shares her adventures, as well as the everyday beauties of the farm and garden.Mimi is the ranch bookkeeper and manages the social media and online marketing for their family farm website, a mail order business to share the premium fruit that they grow directly with people across the USA who love avocados. A music educator by profession, she continues to teach private students and direct music groups, and performs as a flutist and pianist.
