Christina Conte is a Scottish-Italian American food blogger, professional recipe developer and cook, based in Los Angeles. She has been baking and cooking since she was seven years old. Christina worked for a cake decorating business and actually made and delivered her own wedding cake! Christina creates recipes, and teaches and conducts cooking demos for various events. Real fresh cream, purple, potatoes and pomegranates are among Christina's favorite things on the planet, not necessarily in that order. She loves to travel any chance she gets and has been asked to be a judge in the 2014 Scottish Homebaking Awards competition in Scotland!Among Christina's accomplishments are: LA Times 2012 Cookie Contest winner, Green & Black's Recipe Challenge Grand Prize winner, and most recently, the OXO/PLATED Very Vegetarian Challenge winner. De Cecco, The Idaho Potato Commission, Green & Blacks, and The Fresh20 are among the esteemed companies for which Christina has worked. Christina is on a mission to save authentic Italian cuisine from a dying completely, and to convince the American public that British cuisine is easily among the world's best— one steak pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding at a time.
Established in 1937, the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) is a state agency that is responsible for promoting and protecting the famous "Grown in Idaho®" seal, a federally registered trademark that assures consumers they are purchasing genuine, top-quality Idaho® potatoes. Idaho's ideal growing conditions, including rich, volcanic soil, climate and irrigation differentiate Idaho® potatoes from potatoes grown in other states.
