Growing up in the Midwest, Ian has an appreciation for cooking simple food from the heart. His love for food and comradery around a meal began early while cooking in the kitchen with his mother for as many people as could fit at the table. Ian moved to Chicago to hone his culinary skills and graduated from the Illinois Institute of Art in 2009 with a degree in Culinary Arts. While in Chicago he has worked under Chef Jeff Mauro, Chef Michael Kornick and Chef Matt Maroni and is currently the Executive Chef at Jam Restaurant in Logan Square. Ian and Jam were honored at the 2015 Michelin Awards with a Bib Gourmand, for the fourth consecutive year.
Established in 1937, the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) is a state agency that is responsible for promoting and protecting the famous "Grown in Idaho®" seal, a federally registered trademark that assures consumers they are purchasing genuine, top-quality Idaho® potatoes. Idaho's ideal growing conditions, including rich, volcanic soil, climate and irrigation differentiate Idaho® potatoes from potatoes grown in other states.
