How many generations?
I am the 3rd generation in the Magic Valley
I’m proud to be a farmer because... it’s an awesome responsibility to feed our communities, and the farm is the perfect place to teach my children the value of hard work. Not only is the opportunity to grow food for our nation great, it’s just as important to be an advocate for sustainable food by advancing technology and cultural practices that help us be more productive with one of our greatest resources, our land.
My Favorite way to eat a potato is... either grilled or baked in the oven! I like French fries, too! And, recently we’ve been making mashed potatoes in the Instapot, which has been a great way to quickly whip up a great bowl of spuds.
Established in 1937, the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) is a state agency that is responsible for promoting and protecting the famous "Grown in Idaho®" seal, a federally registered trademark that assures consumers they are purchasing genuine, top-quality Idaho® potatoes. Idaho's ideal growing conditions, including rich, volcanic soil, climate and irrigation differentiate Idaho® potatoes from potatoes grown in other states.
