Can I Bake Potatoes In A Roaster?

Q:

Can I bake potatoes in a roaster? If so, can you give me directions or direct me to a recipe?

A:

I’ve never found the roaster to be very quick for this kind of a task. Hamilton Beach, a roaster manufacturer, recommends 400°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Leaf TV claims 1 ½ to 2 hours at 400°F.  Here’s a link to that article: https://www.leaf.tv/articles/how-do-i-bake-potatoes-in-electric-roasters/

In a convection oven it takes about 45-50 minutes, in a conventional oven about 1 hour to 1 hour and ten minutes at 400°F.
