CALDWELL, IDAHO, September 2009 - Five culinary students from across the country got the experience of a lifetime when they spent three days (September 9 - 11) in Idaho visiting a trout farm, dairy and cheese farm, lamb ranch and Idaho potato fields -- courtesy of the Simplot/Idaho Potato Commission "Culinary Learning Experience." The students observed first hand harvesting of the Russet Ranger variety of Idaho® potatoes with grower, Jerome Wanders (pictured far right) at his Caldwell farm. Upon returning to their respective classrooms, the students will share their new found knowledge of the Idaho food products via videos, photos and presentations with fellow culinary classmates.
