EAGLE, ID, November 18, 2009 - This holiday season, consumers can toast to suppertime savings with a multi-partner retail promotion offering coupons on "all the fixings" including America's favorite vegetable, Idaho® potatoes. Now through the end of the year, Frontera Wine will feature bottleneck coupons offering $1 off Idaho® potatoes, Kitchen Basics® Cooking Stock, Bruce's® Yams and Reynold's Wrap® - some of the essentials for holiday entertaining.
The coupons, which prominently feature a photo of a five-pound bag of Idaho® potatoes and the "Grown In Idaho®" seal, will be available in retail outlets nationwide that sell the Chilean wine. Whether consumers are in the canned goods aisle, the wine section or checking out the sundries, this multi-partner promotion serves as a constant reminder to consumers to buy Idaho® potatoes.
"During the holiday season everyone is looking for Idaho® potatoes, and this promotion offers consumers a great way to save money on a product that's already high on their shopping list," said Seth Pemsler, VP Retail/International, IPC. "As consumers consider many potato options for their holiday feasts, we want Idaho® to be their number-one pick. This and other seasonal multi-partner promotions are key in keeping Idaho® top of mind, and ultimately top choice, as consumers make their way through the store."
The Idaho Potato Commission is a state agency that is primarily responsible for expanding the markets for Idaho-grown potatoes through advertising, promotion and research. The Commission also protects the use of the "Idaho® potato" and "Grown in Idaho®" seals, which are federally registered Certification Marks that belong to the IPC. These Marks ensure that consumers are purchasing potatoes that have been grown in the state of Idaho.
