Thank a Farmer: Brett Jensen
This month’s featured farmer is Brett Jensen from Idaho Falls. Brett, a third generation farmer, and his wife Kristy have six kids - Jace, Rylee, Brayden, Karsen, Bella, and Sophie (his daughter-in-law). Brett started Brett Jensen Farms right out of college. He’s proud to be an Idaho® potato farmer and hopes his family will someday help him run the business. His favorite way to eat an Idaho® potato is baked with a pat of butter.

The Big Idaho® Potato Truck is Making a Stop at Mooyah Burger in Billings, MT
The Big Idaho ® Potato Truck is heading to Billings, MT for its last official stop of the 2019 Tour. It’s going to spend the afternoon at the local Mooyah Burger, a fast-growing burger chain famous for its hand-cut Idaho ® potato fries. The Truck will be there from 3PM to 8PM. Say hello to the all-female tater team and learn what makes our 4-ton spud so special! If you’re bummed you missed the Truck this year, the 2020 Tour schedule will be live in February.

A: There is no health risk associated with storing potatoes in water for longer than 24 hours. But be sure to always wash your hands or wear kitchen gloves if you have any exposed cuts before handling the potatoes to prevent contamination.
